I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with 25 years of experience practicing in acute-care settings. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with patients facing a wide range of medical, surgical, neurological, and orthopedic conditions.
My clinical practice focuses on helping patients improve their mobility, regain functional independence, and safely transition through the different stages of their recovery. I have extensive experience performing comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, providing mobility and gait training, and educating patients and their families about safe movement and recovery.
Working in acute care has taught me that every patient is unique. I strive to provide care that is evidence-based, compassionate, and responsive to each individual's goals, medical needs, and functional abilities. I believe that even small improvements in mobility and independence can make a meaningful difference in a patient's recovery and quality of life.
Over the past 25 years, I have worked closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other members of the healthcare team. I value interdisciplinary collaboration because effective communication and teamwork are essential to providing safe, coordinated, and patient-centered care.
I am particularly passionate about helping patients overcome barriers to mobility, preventing complications associated with immobility, promoting safe hospital mobility, and preparing patients and their families for a successful transition home or to the next level of care.
My professional philosophy is simple: I believe every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, respect, and individualized care. My goal is to empower each person I work with to achieve the highest level of safe and meaningful functional independence possible.
